Cuisine: American

Ingredients

For the Witch Hat Bites
  • 2 cans refrigerated crescent rolls 18 rolls total
  • 1 cup pizza sauce divided
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese divided
  • 24 pieces pepperoni divided

Equipment

  • rolling pin
  • Baking sheet

Method

  1. Separate the crescent rolls. Press the perforations to seal and form rectangles (each rectangle is made from 2 triangle rolls). Roll them out slightly with a rolling pin into flat rectangles, ensuring there are no gaps in the middle.
  2. Spread 1 to 2 tablespoons of pizza sauce in a triangle shape in the middle of each rectangle.
  3. Sprinkle 1 to 2 tablespoons of mozzarella cheese over the pizza sauce.
  4. Place 3 pepperoni pieces close together over the cheese, overlapping them slightly.
  5. Fold the top right corner diagonally towards the bottom left corner to cover the pepperoni.
  6. Fold the top left corner across to wrap around the right edge of the triangle shape.
  7. Flip the bottom of the roll up about 1 inch to create the brim of the witch hat.
  8. Tuck one pepperoni piece into the brim. Curve the top of the triangle down and the two bottom corners up to resemble the edges of a hat.
  9. Transfer the shaped bites to a lined baking sheet. Bake for 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  10. Serve warm with extra pizza sauce for dipping.
