- Heat olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add onion and sauté for 2 minutes. Add turkey and garlic, season with salt and pepper, and cook, tossing and breaking up turkey occasionally, until cooked through, about 5 minutes.
- Add chili powder, cumin, paprika, tomato sauce, and chicken broth. Reduce heat to a simmer and cook for about 5 minutes until the sauce has reduced.
- Serve the turkey mixture over lettuce leaves with your desired toppings.

Notes
You can make the filling in advance and store it in the refrigerator or freezer (without the toppings). You can also use ground chicken instead of turkey. For a spicier dish, add hot sauce, more chili powder, or red pepper flakes. If you cannot find Romaine lettuce, iceberg lettuce works well. Toppings are not included in the nutrition estimate.
