  • 2 pounds beef stew meat
  • 1.5 pounds baby potatoes
  • 1 packet onion soup mix
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon sea salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 0.5 cup water or beef broth
  • 1 pound green beans trimmed

Method
 

  1. Spray the bottom of the slow cooker with non stick cooking spray.
  2. Add the beef and potatoes to the slow cooker.
  3. Season the mixture with the soup mix, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and minced garlic.
  4. Add the butter and water.
  5. Cook for 3 to 4 hours on high or 6 to 8 hours on low, stirring occasionally.
  6. Add the green beans and more butter, if you want, in the last hour or two so the beans do not become too soft.

Notes

You can use frozen or canned beans instead of fresh beans. You can also serve the beans or a different vegetable on the side.
If your potatoes are thick, cut them in half so they cook evenly.
