  • 1 small onion sliced and separated into rings
  • 6 lemon slices
  • 1/4 cup butter cubed
Dill Sauce
  • 1/3 cup sour cream
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon onion finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon prepared horseradish
  • 3/4 teaspoon dill weed
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
  • to taste pepper

Equipment

  • 15x10x1-in. baking pan
  • Heavy-duty foil

Method
 

  1. Line a 15x10x1-inch baking pan with heavy-duty foil. Lightly grease the foil.
  2. Place the salmon skin side down on the foil. Sprinkle the salmon with lemon pepper and onion salt.
  3. Top the salmon with the onion rings and lemon slices. Dot the top with cubed butter.
  4. Fold the foil around the salmon and seal it tightly.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees F for 20 minutes.
  6. Open the foil carefully, letting the steam escape. Broil 4 to 6 inches from the heat for 3 to 5 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
  7. While the salmon cooks, combine all the dill sauce ingredients in a small bowl until smooth. Serve the sauce with the cooked salmon.
