Ingredients
  

For the Au Jus
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1-2 tablespoons dry red wine
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 pinch kosher salt
  • 1 pinch ground black pepper
From Your Prime Rib Roast
  • 1 cup drippings from a class Prime Rib Recipe or Smoked Prime Rib or Grilled Prime Rib include all the bits and juices from the bottom of your roasting pan

Method
 

  1. Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan. Make sure to include all the bits and juices from the bottom of your roasting pan.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to a simmer.
  3. Let it simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until the sauce has reduced by about one-quarter.
  4. Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the au jus cool. Once cooled, scrape off any floating bits of fat.
  5. Serve warm with your favorite prime rib recipe.
