  • 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce 118 ml
  • 2 tablespoons dark soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup water 118 ml
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar 55 g
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
Main Ingredients
  • 10 ounces rice noodles 284 g
  • 1 pound ground beef 80/20 454 g
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger finely minced
  • 4 cloves garlic finely minced
  • Green onions sliced for garnish
  • White sesame seeds for garnish

Method
 

  1. Whisk together all the ingredients for the sauce and set aside.
  2. Cook rice noodles according to the instructions on the package and set aside.
  3. In a large wok or skillet over medium-high heat, add a little cooking oil. Once hot, add ground beef and break it into smaller pieces with a wooden spoon or spatula. Cook until there is nearly no pink left.
  4. Add the ginger and garlic. Cook until fragrant, about 2 to 3 minutes.
  5. Pour the sauce over the ground beef and allow it to gently simmer and thicken for 3 to 4 minutes.
  6. Add the rice noodles on top and toss everything together to incorporate and make sure all noodles are coated in the thick sauce.
  7. Garnish with sliced green onions and white sesame seeds on top.
