Ingredients

For the Drumsticks
  • 12 chicken drumsticks
For the Marinade
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Equipment

  • Grill
  • Bowl
  • Tongs

Method

  1. In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  2. Place the chicken drumsticks in a large resealable bag or bowl. Pour the marinade over the drumsticks, ensuring they are well coated. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 10 minutes, or up to 4 hours.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Remove drumsticks from the marinade and discard the excess marinade.
  5. Grill the drumsticks for about 25-30 minutes, turning occasionally, until cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  6. Serve hot.

Notes

You can adjust the amount of garlic and lemon juice to your preference. For extra flavor, you can grill the drumsticks over indirect heat for the first 15 minutes, then move them to direct heat to finish.
