Korean Beef Rice Bowls

Ingredients
  

For the Beef
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp ginger grated
For Serving
  • 4 cups cooked rice
  • sesame seeds for garnish
  • green onions sliced, for garnish

Method
 

  1. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium-high heat until browned. Drain off any excess grease.
  2. Add the soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger to the skillet. Stir to combine.
  3. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce has thickened slightly and coats the beef.
  4. Serve the Korean beef mixture over cooked rice.
  5. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions.

Notes

You can adjust the sweetness and saltiness by changing the amount of brown sugar and soy sauce.
