Ingredients
  

  • 1 teaspoon ceremonial matcha powder Use high-quality, bright green ceremonial grade matcha.
  • 1/4 cup hot water Just-boiled but not boiling.
  • Ice Small ice cubes are recommended.
  • 1 cup milk of choice Soy or oat milk recommended, but any milk works.
  • 1 teaspoon sweetener Maple syrup, coconut sugar, simple syrup, agave, or sugar. Adjust to taste.

Method
 

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the matcha powder and hot water using a matcha whisk or milk frother until no lumps remain. If you don't have these tools, you can blend the matcha and hot water in a blender.
  2. Pour the matcha mixture over a glass filled with ice.
  3. Top with your choice of cold milk, add sweetener if desired, mix well, and enjoy.
