- Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. If using, add the flour and garlic & onion powder and stir together for 1 to 2 minutes.
- Add the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, and whisk to combine. Bring to a boil over high heat. The mixture should thicken slightly if you used flour.
- Taste and season with salt and pepper. Serve with prime rib, roast beef, or French dip.

This recipe makes 2 cups of au jus. The recipe photos did not use flour. Store leftover au jus in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 1 month.
