Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 lb baby potatoes, halved
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Cutting board
  • Knife

Method

  1. Pat the steak cubes dry with paper towels. Season them with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the potatoes and cook for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are browned and tender. Remove the potatoes from the skillet and set them aside.
  3. Add the steak bites to the same skillet in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until browned.
  4. Reduce the heat to medium. Add the butter and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook for 1 minute until the garlic is fragrant.
  5. Return the potatoes to the skillet. Stir everything together to coat in the garlic butter sauce.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
