Fourth of July Pretzel Treats

Make these festive pretzel treats for your Fourth of July celebration. They are easy to make and a crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients
  

For the Pretzel Treats
  • 24 Pretzel squares
  • 12 oz White chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup Blue candy melts
  • 1/4 cup Red candy melts
  • 1/4 cup White nonpareils sprinkles
  • 1/4 cup Blue nonpareils sprinkles
  • 1/4 cup Red nonpareils sprinkles

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Microwave-safe bowl

Method
 

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Place one pretzel square on the prepared baking sheet. Top with another pretzel square, creating a sandwich.
  3. Repeat with remaining pretzel squares.
  4. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate chips according to package directions. Stir until smooth.
  5. Dip the top half of each pretzel sandwich into the melted white chocolate, allowing excess to drip off. Place back on the parchment paper.
  6. While the white chocolate is still wet, sprinkle with white nonpareils.
  7. Melt the blue candy melts according to package directions. Drizzle over the white chocolate-dipped pretzels.
  8. Immediately sprinkle the blue candy melts with blue nonpareils.
  9. Melt the red candy melts according to package directions. Drizzle over the white chocolate-dipped pretzels.
  10. Immediately sprinkle the red candy melts with red nonpareils.
  11. Allow the chocolate to set completely. This can be done at room temperature or in the refrigerator for about 10-15 minutes.

Notes

You can use any color candy melts and sprinkles to customize these treats for any occasion.
