Method
- Preheat your oven to 375°F.
- In a small bowl, mix the cream cheese spread and garlic powder until blended.
- In another small bowl, combine the sesame seed, poppy seed, and dried onions. Pour this mixture onto a medium-size plate.
- Separate the crescent roll dough into 4 rectangles. Reshape each rectangle into a 6x4-inch rectangle, pressing the perforations firmly to seal. Cut each 6x4-inch rectangle in half crosswise to create eight 3x4-inch rectangles.
- Spread 1 tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture onto each dough rectangle, leaving a 1/4-inch border around the edges.
- Place a hot dog on each dough rectangle and roll it up. Pinch the edges firmly to seal.
- Gently roll the top half of each hot dog in the sesame seed mixture to coat evenly.
- Place the mummy dogs seam side down on an ungreased cookie sheet. Discard any remaining sesame seed mixture.
- Bake for 16 to 18 minutes, or until golden brown. Serve with ketchup, mustard, or ranch dressing if desired.
