Ingredients

For the Salmon and Broccoli
  • 1 lb salmon fillet cut into 4 portions
  • 1 lb broccoli florets
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
For the Honey Garlic Sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 1 tbsp water

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Small bowl
  • Whisk

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and sesame oil for the sauce. Set aside.
  3. Place the broccoli florets on one side of the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat.
  4. Place the salmon portions on the other side of the baking sheet. Drizzle with the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil.
  5. Bake for 10 minutes.
  6. Remove the baking sheet from the oven. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the salmon. If using, stir the cornstarch slurry into the sauce.
  7. Return the baking sheet to the oven and bake for another 5-7 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and the sauce has thickened.
  8. Serve the honey garlic salmon and broccoli immediately.

Notes

For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce. You can also add other vegetables like bell peppers or onions to the sheet pan.
