Crockpot Kielbasa and Green Beans

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound kielbasa sliced
  • 1.5 pounds small potatoes quartered
  • 1 pound fresh green beans trimmed
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • Salt to taste

Method
 

  1. Place the quartered potatoes in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  2. Add the trimmed green beans on top of the potatoes.
  3. Arrange the sliced kielbasa over the green beans.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together the chicken broth, olive oil, garlic powder, and black pepper.
  5. Pour the liquid mixture over the ingredients in the slow cooker.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 4 hours, until the potatoes are tender.
  7. Season with salt to taste before you serve.

Notes

You can use smoked sausage instead of kielbasa. For a spicier dish, add 1/4 teaspoon of red pepper flakes with the other seasonings.
