Ingredients

For the Clusters
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 2 scoops whey protein isolate (optional or sweetener) Use any flavor
  • 1 cup strawberries chopped into small chunks
For the Coating
  • 1 cup sugar-free dark chocolate chips melted (150-170g per cup)
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil optional, to thin the chocolate

Equipment

  • Bowl
  • Tray
  • Parchment paper

Method

  1. In a bowl, combine Greek yogurt and protein powder if you are using it. Stir until the mixture is smooth.
  2. Gently fold in the chopped strawberries, making sure they are evenly coated.
  3. Line a tray with parchment paper. Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto the tray, keeping them chunky.
  4. Place the tray in the freezer for 2 to 3 hours until the clusters are firm.
  5. Melt the dark chocolate with coconut oil if you are using it. Once the clusters are frozen, dip each one into the chocolate or drizzle generously over the top.
  6. Place the clusters back in the freezer for 10 to 15 minutes until the chocolate sets. Eat them straight from the freezer.

Notes

You can use your favorite yogurt. Greek yogurt provides a good tang, but you can substitute it with vanilla protein yogurt if you prefer. If you use flavored whey protein isolate, it can provide both flavor and sweetener without needing extra additions. Use the amount of sweetener you like, preferably a syrup or powdered type to avoid crunchiness. You can use fresh or frozen strawberries, though chopping frozen ones is harder. Keep the finished clusters in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 2 weeks. If they are too firm, let them sit for a few minutes before eating.
