Cheesy Ravioli Bake

Ingredients
  

For the Bake
  • 1 package refrigerated cheese ravioli 20 ounces
  • 1 jar marinara sauce 24 ounces
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley optional

  • Large pot
  • Colander
  • Large bowl

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. Cook the ravioli according to package directions, but undercook by 1-2 minutes. Drain well.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the drained ravioli, marinara sauce, mozzarella cheese, and Parmesan cheese. Stir gently to coat the ravioli.
  4. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the sauce is bubbly and the cheese is melted and lightly golden.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired, before serving.

Notes

For a richer flavor, you can add a layer of ricotta cheese mixed with an egg and some herbs before topping with mozzarella. You can also add cooked ground beef or Italian sausage to the sauce for a heartier meal.
