Ingredients
  

For the Casserole
  • 2 lbs frozen hash browns thawed
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup 10.5 oz
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the thawed hash browns, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese, and chopped onion.
  3. Stir in the melted butter. Season with salt and pepper to your liking.
  4. Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
  5. Bake for 45 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.

Notes

You can add cooked bacon bits or sausage to the mixture for extra flavor. Top with more cheese in the last 10 minutes of baking if desired.
