- Soak the cedar plank in water for at least 1 hour. This prevents it from burning on the grill.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F or 200°C).
- Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Brush them with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
- Sprinkle the chopped fresh dill, parsley, and chives over the salmon.
- Place the soaked cedar plank on the preheated grill. Let it heat for about 5 minutes until it starts to lightly smoke.
- Carefully place the salmon fillets, skin-side down, onto the cedar plank.
- Close the grill lid and cook for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. Cooking time will vary depending on the thickness of the fillets.
- Remove the cedar plank with the salmon from the grill. Serve immediately with lemon wedges.
Notes
You can adjust the herbs based on your preference. Other good options include thyme, rosemary, or tarragon.
