- Gather all your ingredients.
- Sift the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt together in a large bowl. Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients.
- Add the milk, melted butter, and egg into the well. Mix the ingredients until the batter is smooth.
- Heat a lightly oiled griddle or pan over medium-high heat.
- Pour or scoop about 1/4 cup of batter onto the hot griddle for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface and the edges look dry, which takes about 2 to 3 minutes.
- Flip the pancakes and cook until they are browned on the other side. Repeat this process with the remaining batter.
- Serve the pancakes immediately.
