- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked ziti, marinara sauce, ricotta cheese, egg, dried basil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until everything is well combined.
- Spread half of the pasta mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
- Sprinkle half of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses over the pasta layer.
- Add the remaining pasta mixture on top of the cheese layer.
- Top with the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the edges are lightly browned.
- Let it stand for 5-10 minutes before serving.

You can add cooked ground beef or Italian sausage to the sauce mixture for a heartier meal. For a vegetarian option, add sautéed mushrooms or spinach.
