Avocado Toast

Ingredients
  

  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 1 Lemon wedge for squeezing
  • Sea salt
  • 2 to slices toasted bread use gluten-free bread if desired
  • Desired toppings optional

Equipment

  • Small knife
  • Fork

Method
 

  1. Halve the avocado vertically and remove the pit.
  2. Use a small knife to dice the avocado flesh while it is still inside the skin.
  3. Season the flesh with a squeeze of lemon juice and sprinkle it with sea salt.
  4. Scoop the diced avocado flesh out of the skin and onto the toasted bread.
  5. Mash the avocado with the back of a fork and top with your desired toppings.

Notes

This recipe is easily adapted. You can add fresh herbs or chili flakes for extra flavor, similar to a favorite version made at home.
